    Mr. Corradus,
If that was you that boarded my 98 Tunney's bus at 2140 thu and fri, pleased to meet you. However, please note that holding your transfer that close to my face is not at all cool. Simply holding it over the farebox and not in my personal space will suffice.

My apologies if that wasn't you...but my comments are valid for anyone that rides.

    Ask yourselves this
If the city's "fair and reasonable" offer was really what they're calling it.

    and,

We've been out for a MONTH

    and,

We still voted it down by 75%

    and,

We'll never earn back what we've lost financially

    and,

Our retirement dates have been pushed back by one month

    and,

We STILL VOTED NO TO THE TUNE OF 75%

Do you not think that there actually could be something seriously wrong with the offer....

    Food for thought, no?

    Everyone, please
Don't feed the trolls. For the most part, the regulars here have been able to get along and play nice.

Don't feed the trolls and they'll go away.

Clear info outlining our side coming,
Within the next day there is supposed to be a website up and running explaining our position re booking changes, contracting out, sick benefits.

Too late, but it will be there.

To the drivers that read this journal, that may be wavering, the booking changes that the city proposes are of no real benefit to us. Matter of fact, the guys that work straights will potentially see a four hour piece that potentially ends at rideau centre, and you'll have an unpaid "meal break" until your next shift starts, which could be on the other side of town. Good bye straight work, hello being a gypsy travelling around town. Short six will be scheduled as close to six as possible, goodbye 7:anything pays 8. Goodbye selecting your morning and afternoon pieces separately on trippers and with the proposed hours of work guidelines anyone junior to about the first 25% of the workforce can kiss a saturday/sunday goodbye.

So this isn't a one issue strike, they are still apart on contracting out and sick days.

    Stay tuned for the website.

    I'm out.

    His worship.
Lying again. On Mark Sutcliffe....The union membership never saw the offer they voted down.

Bullying. Not negotiating piecemeal, all or nothing.

More un truth: We're doing everything we can to end this...

In the old days, they used firehoses to breeak strikes, now the media and the internet are the preferred tools.

    And WE'RE the arseholes....
If I heard correctly, the federal mediator suggested, at the union's prodding that talks could resume if the booking issue was removed from negotiations and went to arbitration.

    The city declined.

    just plain ignorant
What the frack was up with people tonight? Everyone boarding and I mean just about everyone must of thought it was "give the operator the stink eye night." I said "hi" or "thanks" and got silence and the fucking stink-eye in return. And people wonder why some of us don't even look at them when they board.

I worked the 2 for four months and didn't have such a shitty night between the rude steaming social animals that were boarding, the shitty car drivers and other operators that couldn't make a decision and were doing their best scared jackrabbit imitation with their buses; "Do I go? Do I not go? Do I go? Do I go? Do I not go?."

A cold one never ever ever tasted so good.
